Chocolate With Benefits – A Nourishing Easter Ritual

Chocolate With Benefits – A Nourishing Easter Ritual

There’s something special about homemade chocolate—especially when it’s made with love, intention, and ingredients that truly nourish your body. This Easter, we’re skipping the sugar-laden store-bought eggs and making our favourite feel-good ritual: chocolate with benefits.

This is more than a treat—it’s a way to slow down, connect with your creativity, and support your body with every bite. Think rich cacao, heart-opening rose, calming lavender, and even a touch of ancient herbal wisdom. Whether you make them for yourself or share them as gifts, these little chocolates are full of soul.

Why Cacao (and Magnesium) Is the Ultimate Ingredient for Easter

Cacao is known as the "food of the gods" - and it’s easy to see why. Beyond its rich, indulgent flavour, cacao is naturally rich in magnesium, a vital mineral many of us are low in. Magnesium supports muscle relaxation, better sleep, nervous system regulation, and a more balanced mood.

So while these chocolates are giving you a nourishing dose of magnesium, don’t forget to top up your levels daily—especially if you're feeling run down, stressed, or physically active. That’s why we created our Refuel Wellness Magnesium Spray—a quick, effective way to support your body from the outside in.

The Recipe – Your Base for Bliss

Here’s our go-to chocolate base:

½ cup cacao butter

¼ cup coconut oil

¼ cup almond butter

½ cup raw cacao powder

2 tbsp pure maple syrup (or up to ⅓ cup for sweeter taste)

1 tsp vanilla essence

Pinch of Himalayan sea salt

Melt everything slowly, whisk until silky, then stir in your favourite flavour additions below.

Customise with Floral & Herbal Magic

+ Rose (our favourite):
Grind 1 tbsp dried rose petals into a powder. Rose is known for supporting the heart—emotionally and physically. It’s cooling, soothing, and brings a beautiful softness to this recipe.

+ Lavender:
1 tbsp dried lavender (lightly ground). Lavender has long been used to calm the nervous system, ease anxiety, and support gentle digestion. It brings a soft floral touch and an instant feeling of calm.

+ Herbal boosters (optional, but magical):
Add ½ tsp of your chosen herb, or mix and match:

He Shou Wu: An adaptogen from Chinese medicine said to support vitality, hair health, and longevity.

Ashwagandha: Great for stress relief and hormone support.

Tremella or Reishi: Known for supporting the immune system, skin hydration, and inner radiance.

Toppings & Texture Ideas

Sprinkle in or on top:

Goji berries

Desiccated coconut

Chopped nuts

Crushed fennel seeds

Anything you love in chocolate!

To Set:

Pour into chocolate moulds or natural patty pans. Freeze for an hour or until solid. Store in the fridge or freezer and enjoy whenever you need a little boost.

A Treat That Feels Like a Ritual

These chocolates aren’t just about flavour—they’re about slowing down, reconnecting, and restoring your body through simple, everyday rituals. Add your favourite adaptogens, flowers, or just keep it simple. Either way, you’re giving your body something beautiful.
